Key Takeaways:
- On 24 Sept 2026, Phantom will disable native support for the Sui network after reaching a mutual agreement with Sui.
- Sui assets will be kept securely onchain and users will no longer be able to see or use them in Phantom.
- Users will be able to switch to supported assets or transfer their wallet to another application that supports Sui before the transition.
Phantom will drop Sui from supported networks next month, providing users a specific timeline to transition away from Sui or convert their Sui holdings.
The wallet provider stressed that the change affects Phantom’s interface and network support, not ownership of users’ funds.
Phantom Ends Sui Support on September 24
Phantom and Sui have agreed to end Sui support on September 24, 2026. After that date, Sui balances will disappear from Phantom, and users will no longer be able to send, swap or interact with Sui assets through the wallet.
Phantom and Sui have decided to end Sui support on Phantom on September 24, and leave open the opportunity to explore other collaborations in the future.
Your funds remain safe and fully under your control. Before 9/24, you can move your wallet to another app that supports Sui,…

These assets will not be removed. With Phantom being a self-custodial wallet, Sui’s holdings are always on the Sui blockchain, and the wallet’s recovery credentials will always retain control of them.
Users who want to keep their Sui assets have two main options before the transition.
They are able to transfer their wallet to another app that supports Sui and keep the same onchain assets. Phantom guides users to the Sui Foundation’s recommended wallet, which is called Slush.
Alternatively Users may convert their Sui coins into assets that Phantom supports.

Phantom Waives Its Swap Fee for SUI
Phantom is also offering 100% free swaps from native SUI to wrapped SUI on Solana through next week’s transition date of September 24.
Other supported assets such as SOL, ETH or USDC can also be used instead of SUI tokens, although with normal network/ exchange fees. This can be done right within the Phantom Mobile App, or the browser extension.
Phantom suggests securely exporting the wallet’s Secret Recovery Phrase and importing it into a compatible Sui wallet for users deciding to migrate.
Funds Remain Onchain After the Cutoff
Users who miss September 24 will not be disqualified from using Sui. There’ll be a few of these assets moving to another compatible wallet, same keys, assets will stay on Sui blockchain and they can still be recovered.
Phantom will only cease to display Sui balances and allow Sui transactions in Phantom.
Another warning from the company concerning fraud, during the migration time. Phantom will never ask for a Secret Recovery Phrase or private key from users first and it will never make offers to move money on users’ behalf.
Emails about migration assistance that you did not request should be regarded with caution.
The Sui case also underscored the evolving Sui/chain wallet market. More networks will mean more reach for a wallet, at the same time eradicating a chain will let the provider focus on the networks they still support.
While this is a straightforward date for Sui users, it is the last day of Sui functionality within Phantom and not their Sui assets.
