Quantitative traders using MEXC’s RealStocks received a tool that lets them automate trading and develop customised strategies for US equities.

The platform has just released an API for buying US equities with USDT.

The platform follows the broader trend of a multi-asset approach where cryptocurrency exchanges provide access to products that used to be a speciality of Wall Street.

What’s So Real about RealStocks

RealStocks lets investors invest directly in equities and receive all the benefits of direct stock ownership, including full shareholding rights and dividend entitlements.

Trading takes place through MEXC‘s interface, while the regulated broker Atomic Vaults Securities (AVS) processes the transactions.

According to the company’s announcement, the RealStocks API is designed mainly for quantitative traders who want to automate trading and build customised strategies.

The platform does not charge a fee for RealStocks usage; however, SEC transaction fees, FINRA activity fees, and clearing and exchange costs may still apply.

Launched in July 2026, the product covers more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. More than 120,000 users opened RealStocks accounts, MEXC reports.

Earlier this month, the platform released RealStocks updates introducing new features, including long-term investing support and improved market access.

From Product to Ecosystem

Apart from RealStocks, the cryptocurrency exchange offers a range of TradeFi-related products, including Stock Futures, tokenised shares, and Pre-IPO access.

The launch of the RealStocks API is a strategic push into the quantitative trading space. By offering programmatic access to US equities, MEXC is challenging both traditional brokers and other multi-asset platforms competing for this lucrative, but demanding, client segment.
