The brokerage will leverage Coinbase’s crypto-as-a-service possibilities to offer digital assets on Webull’s platform, extending the trading possibilities from its available asset classes, including stocks, exchange-traded products, options, fixed income, and now crypto.

The company launches these services to take advantage of the newfound popularity of the asset class, which registered ownesrip og 25% in 2026 per Ontario Securities Commission numbers. Michael Constantino, CEO of Webull Canada, highlighted this growth, stressing that “Canadian investors expect access to a growing range of asset classes, and crypto has become an increasingly important part of that mix.”

“Our partnership with Coinbase provides the infrastructure needed to deliver this offering with the scale and reliability our clients expect. As adoption continues to grow across the country, we remain focused on giving investors secure, regulated tools to build their portfolios on their own terms,” he declared.

The move is similar to the strategy that Webull applied in other relevant markets such as Brazil, where it launched featuring localized investment tools and U.S. equity trading in 2024 and then relaunched crypto trading in 2025 with Coinbase as partner.

Coinbase stressed that its involvement in this relaunch will provide deep liquidity and secure infrastructure to Webull customers, helping it deliver a “stronger crypto experience for its users,” at a time when Canada is facing allegations of being one of the worst jurisdictions for crypto fraud victims, with know blockchain sleuth ZackXBT declaring that Toronto was “one of the hot spots globally for fraud.”

Authorities are spearheading actions to curb these activities, even creating an international task force to target crypto-linked illicit operations.
