Key Takeaways:
- Sunrise is adding Tokenized Equity to the expanding Solana ecosystem with the launch of Nike’s $NKE token on Solana.
- Backpack Securities issues the tokenized stock, which can be used in various Solana applications.
- The company representing and trading onchain traditional equities just keeps growing, with Nike now joining the club.
Nike has made one more move into the blockchain economy, having its $NKE stock now trading on Solana courtesy of the Sunrise platform. The launch marks one of the world’s most recognizable sportswear brands’ entry into Solana’s growing equity market tokenization segment, in which financial assets are increasingly being tokenized onchain.

$NKE Goes Live on Solana
Now, Nike’s stock can be traded on Solana via the Sunrise platform with the issuer being Backpack Securities. Sunrise is built to liquidate traditional assets onto Solana, establish canonical markets for traditionally traded assets, and to connect them to the broader market. The platform enables $NKE to distribute throughout the Solana ecosystem and thus become available to various applications on different blockchains.
The launch allows crypto-native, but non-traditional, users access to Nike equity without its entire experience needing to occur on top of the traditional financial system. It is already found in various applications on the Solana network, such as Backpack, Fomo, DFlow, Titan Exchange, Phantom, Jupiter, Solflare, Kamino, Raydium, and Mayan.

A Major Consumer Brand Enters the RWA Market
What is interesting about Nike’s move is that it’s one of the more massive cryptocorp operations we’ve seen, certainly larger than the average crypto-native project. For fiscal 2026, the company reported revenue of $46.4 billion, and it has products being sold around the world. The addition of $NKE to Solana adds a high-value, publicly traded consumer brand to a rapidly expanding list of tokenized shares moving into the blockchain.
Moreover, the development signals the innovative progress of tokenized stocks from experimental ideas to established financial systems.
Solana Expands Its Tokenized Stock Push
Sunrise and Backpack Securities has marketed several major tokens to Solana these past 2 years, and Nike is no exception. Recent tokens have included space game SpaceX, electronics company Micron, and data storage firm SanDisk, giant of-chip maker Intel, and video to-go company GoPro, and AMC Entertainment. Some of these assets are created with the intention of being traded onchain immediately, allowing investors to discover traditional stocks via blockchain-based exchanges.
In 2026, Backpack Securities debuted its Security Exchange Platform dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional equity ownership and digital-asset infrastructure. Sunrise is the means to transport those assets onto the Solana network.
Solana’s tokenized-equity segment, however, has continued to grow into crypto-native assets as $NKE recently joined the network. The occasion also further cements a growing bond between the old and the new stock exchanges with the more evolved ones gaining a space on chain.
