Key Takeaways

  • Securitize launched 1:1-backed U.S. stock tokens on Solana with USDC settlement.
  • Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla move onchain with regulated rights and institutional market-making.
  • 24/7 venues from NYSE and OKX-ICE could broaden tokenized stock distribution.

Securitize Adds Stock Tokens With Dividends and Voting Rights

Securitize is taking some of Wall Street’s most recognizable names onchain.

The tokenization firm has launched Securitize Stocks, offering eligible investors exposure to U.S. equities including AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, GOOG, TSLA, META, AMZN, NFLX, CRCL, SPCX, and MSTR.

The products will initially trade on Solana through Securitize’s registered broker-dealer platform, with transactions settling in USDC.

Unlike synthetic products that merely track a stock’s price, Securitize says each token is backed 1:1 by an underlying share and structured to preserve applicable economic rights, including dividends and voting rights where available.

These Tokens Will Behave More Like Real Shares

The structure is the key distinction.

Securitize Stocks represent security entitlements under UCC Article 8. The underlying shares will not be lent out, and investors may eventually be able to convert the tokens into direct ownership recorded through an issuer’s transfer agent when supported.

The company calls the framework a convertible entitlement token (CET).

“Tokenized stocks should give investors more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore. Securitize Stocks are creating a bridge to a future where issuers themselves can participate directly in tokenization,” said Carlos Domingo, Chairman and CEO of Securitize.

Access will be available to eligible investors in the U.S., European Union and other permitted jurisdictions, subject to KYC, AML and securities-law requirements.

Trading starts during extended hours, with the longer-term goal of moving toward 24/7 availability.

NYSE and OKX-ICE Venues Could Expand Distribution

The more consequential part of the rollout may come next.

Securitize expects the stocks to become tradable on the 24/7 digital venue being developed by the New York Stock Exchange, subject to its launch and regulatory requirements.

They are also expected to be available through the OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, which combines OKX’s blockchain infrastructure with Intercontinental Exchange’s institutional market experience.

That could give tokenized equities multiple regulated distribution channels rather than confining them to crypto-native platforms. Ripple Prime also plans to support the launch and explore incorporating the assets into its institutional trading ecosystem.

Solana Gets Another Institutional Tokenization Win

Securitize selected Solana as the launch network, extending a relationship that already includes trading in Securitize’s own tokenized stock. Liquidity will initially be supported through Securitize’s Solana-based PropAMM, with Jump Trading serving as market maker.

Nick Ducoff, GM, Institutional, Solana Foundation, remarked that “Securitize Stocks demonstrate what becomes possible when real securities and shareholder rights are combined with fast, efficient blockchain infrastructure on Solana.”

A Jump spokesperson added that onchain markets have demonstrated the ability to deliver tight spreads, deep liquidity, and transparent price discovery at scale. The development matters because tokenized equities are moving beyond simple blockchain representations.

Securitize is trying to connect real shares, regulated brokerage, market making, USDC settlement, and eventually 24/7 exchange infrastructure in one system.

For crypto, that is a much bigger story than putting Apple or Nvidia on a blockchain. It is an attempt to rebuild how those stocks can trade.
